SPACE IS THE PLACE

"Space is the Place" is a new design that recalls the legendary mythical film made about Sun Ra and his Intergalactic Solar Arkestra. Those familiar with Ra know that he was and is the unparallelled godfather of space jazz in all of its variant forms. The film follows Ra and his band through the labyrinth of his mind; the musical, mystical, and aesthetic levels of
the universe of Sun Ra is revealed in this one of a kind document. Since Ra was interested in aliens, myth, and space travel we decided to incorporate his message into a design that followed his path. The shirt features the words "Space is the Place" vertically and horizontally while the text "Intergalactic Traveler" is displayed underneath a cosmic galaxy to create a 21st century take on Sun Ra's music and art forms.
