Marc Mac is one of a rare breed of producers who moves smoothly between different genres flitting between pseudonyms while leaving a trail of quintessential releases. Straight Outta Dollis Hill London Marc Mac is one half of the legendary outfit 4hero and also founder member of Reinforced Records a label positioned at the cornerstone of early electronic music in the UK. In the late 90‘s Marc signed to Gilles Peterson’s Talkin Loud Records with his group 4hero. 4hero went on to produce 2 great award winning albums with Talkin Loud “Two Pages” & “Creating Patterns”. 4hero then went on to set up a new label where they released the critically acclaimed “Play With The Changes” and most recent “Extensions”. Somewhere in this timeline, between producing music for Jill Scott to Roy Ayers, Phonte to Terry Callier, Marc started another project called Visioneers releasing a set of limited 7” singles getting the attention from top eclectic DJ’s including Jazzy Jeff, Kenny Dope, Gilles Peterson & Norman Jay. Visioneers was then picked up by BBE records who released the debut album “Dirty Old Hip Hop”.

Throughout my years of digging for records I've always been particularly drawn to music that is heavily influenced by the electronic revolution. There was a long stretch where I would specifically hunt for Moog, New Age, Jazz Fusion, & experimental records... anything that involved synthesizers, but still had a groove. Upon the inquiry from 101 Apparel to come up with a concept for a mix my initial thought was it has to be unique. It was the opportune time for compiling tracks from past to present that capture the electronic experience. Future Shock is born and is without a doubt one of the most brain crushing mixes I've ever done! I hope you dig it.

“I've had dreams about this mix for the last couple years. When 101 Apparel reached out to me about the collab between Bling47 and 101 Apparel it was perfect timing. I was in the middle of working on my newest project called Electric Street Orchestra (ESO). I wanted this mix to follow the same principals as the project, mixing my Detroit techno heritage with beats from a multitude of genres. To find a way to make Rock, Pop, and Hip hop sync with Ghetto tech. After making over 70 edits and two months of intense labor I achieved my goal. Now dance your ass off!”

Tony Allen has long been acknowledged as Africa’s finest kit drummer and one of the continent’s most influential musicians. His playing draws on four different styles – highlife, soul/funk, jazz and traditional Nigerian drumming. A unique and mighty sound. Together with Fela Kuti (with whom he played for 15 years) Allen co-created Afrobeat - the hard driving, horns rich, funk-infused, politically insurrectionary style which became such a dominant force in African music and such an influence worldwide. DJ Rich Medina transitions into the role of pre-eminent spoken word artist at clubs the world over. DJ Rich Medina, renaissance man, articulate performer and a down and dirty DJ who can go head to head with the best, is an artist who will transform the average experience of any club or venue and give his audience a night of music and words to remember.

Coming straight from Los Angeles, Dam Funk is known as the "Boogie Funk Ambassador", an artist who has been working since the mid 80's as a mult-instrumentalist, DJ, record collector, producer and vocalist; this guy is a renaissance man of all things funk. Working in the tradition of Slave, early Prince, Prelude Records and ZAPP, here is a sound that is spiritual and robotic, iconoclastic yet still rooted in the tradition of his elders.
