CUT & PASTE
The Cut and Paste method goes back to the early Dada art movement where words were used to create a hybrid collage of text and image a technique which has made the rounds from the beatniks, to the surrealists, to the avant garde art and design scene and finally found its way into early hip-hop and dance music. Now, cut and paste concepts are the foundation for all digital media and art creation, from making beats on software, to video art, to photography, design and beyond. This shirt pays homage to that creativity and innovation that comes from putting together different concepts, images, text and making them a unique art document. This design has the text “CUT & PASTE” broken up for a choppy effect along with images of tools that are used in the creative process. This one is for the artists, designers, forward thinkers, music makers, and process oriented innovators.
