Peace and Rhythm is our tribute to one of greatest future jazz albums by Idris Muhammad, drummer extraordinaire, and also to the title track, a long space coda that is a fine example of what happens when you mixed afro-politics, mysticism, jazz and funk into a heady brew. Idris Muhammad is known within the hip-hop world for the sample-ability of his tracks, namely due to the way he played his drums, powerful, precise and ultra smooth. This shirt has the text “Peace and Rhythm” with xylophones interspliced into the text. Jazz and funk heads, sample spotters, and those with an interest in afro-culture and politics will definitely dig this one.
