The Scientist is a legendary dub producer from Kingston, Jamaica who is one of the original creative forces behind dub music who was taught the tools of the trade by the master himself, King Tubby. The name Scientist was given to him by Tubby when he saw his forward thinking technical prowess in the recording studio when he was just a teenager. Since then the name Scientist is synonymous with hard hitting spacy dub that will shake your subwoofers down to the foundation. Scientist meets the Space Invaders is a classic record with a sci-fi theme that has inspired countless of dub artists along with many electronic music producers for it’s unique use of delay, effects and reverb in the mixing desk.
